Laos brings me a rare sense of peace. Its luxury isn’t in international hotels, but in the simplicity and pristine nature of the destination. Untouched by urbanization, smoke, or noise, Laos is lush, pure, and serene. Its people welcome guests with Buddhist mindfulness. Visiting Laos means letting go of outside clamor to live fully. That is my true feeling of Laos.

“Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia”

"We, 2 couples, returned from our 18 day private tour just before the Christmas holiday. To say that everything went perfectly would be an understatement. While we had a bit of difficulty getting Kata to respond to our planning requests, we ended up with what was truly a trip of a lifetime!! All of our tour guides and drivers were truly exceptional. I wanted to give some extra kudos Juan in Luang Prabang and Chesda in Phnom Penh - both were outstanding thoughtful guides. I should mention the others, as each guide was great - Larry in HCMC, Tuan in Hoi An and Hue, Tony in Hanoi and Chai in Siem Reap. All of the hotels we stayed at were top notch. All flights organized by Kata went smoothly. As for the sights and sounds of Southeast Asia - this was truly a life changing visit. While our itinerary was quite clear as to the activities we would see, we had no idea how extraordinary everything would be. We especially enjoyed our exploration of the various street foods in Hanoi that Tony took us to. While "his" places deviated from the itinerary, they were absolutely fantastic!! Our one night on Halong Bay went by too quickly. We spent 4 nights in Luang Prabang, Laos and found this to be just magical. Siem Reap was just amazing. While Ankor Wat is on everyone's bucket list, we found that each of the ancient temples were equally magnificent. Although the trip ended on a bit solemn note in Phnom Phen with a visit to the Killing Fields and the accompanying prison, Chesda added a little trip to the market and lunch which, for me, softened things some. Overall, this trip was awesome. Only problem now is finding our next trip - this one's going to be very difficult to top!! I highly recommend Kata to help you plan your own trip to Southeast Asia."

“Trip of a Lifetime”

"Kata Tran -
"We spent almost year working with Kata  to plan our month long trip for four to Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. I am someone who likes planning trips and I could not have asked for a better partner in Kata. Kata and her team are both very professional and every detail was well planned out, and most importantly, well carried out for the entire month long trip. Kata put together the entire trip, I made some minor changes, including upgrading some of the hotels, all without any problems. Sometimes email communication was not as prompt as we would have liked, so we called a few times to iron out some details. On the whole, communication went well. All of our guides were excellent (with the exception on 1) and made our experience all the more rich and personal. We came away having learned so much about each country and culture that only the personal contact with a caring and knowledgable local can offer. We liked the flexibility throughout the trip, to change or add something. Kata took the time to meet with us for coffee in Hanoi, a lovely gesture. I highly recommend Kata and her team."

“Vietnam, Laos & Cambodia in 27 Days”

"We were a group of three experienced travelers who normally do their own planning and logistics. South East Asia was a new travel territory for us and we felt we needed some local expertise to get the most out of our trip. We were very impressed with the how Kata worked with us to put together a comprehensive 27 day tour that catered to our interests. This was our first tour with her & hopefully won’t be the last. She arranged all our hotels which were great, all airline tickets that were required during the tour, land transportation which was very comfortable and great English speaking local guides that gave us a great feel for the culture and daily life. During the daily travels the tour guides were also able to take us to local eating establishments that served great food but a non native might miss. We enjoyed meeting Kata when we arrived in Hanoi. Overall we were extremely happy with the tour."

“Amazing honeymoon travel booking”

"We had the most amazing time on our honeymoon and we owe it all to Kata. They were so thoughtful in learning about all of our likes and dislikes to plan the perfect trip for us in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. We loved the food tour excursions, the rich history, and the safe travel they provided for us. They were accessable for any and all changes, we even made a change during our vacation and it was so easy and seamless. We will absolutely use Kata again in the future if we need to plan another trip."

“Amazing”

"I just completed a second tour with Kata, this time of Laos (previously Vietnam). Given that they are based in Vietnam, I wasn't sure what to expect, but they delivered a truly outstanding experience. Our trip included a visit to Vientiane, Vang Vieng, and Luang Prabang. They drove us from Vientiane to Luang Prabang over a period of days, visiting each location. The trip involved quite a bit of up front planning and I appreciated that Kata was willing to modify the itinerary as desired and attend to every detail. The guide that she matched us to, Khankeo, was an outstanding fit for us and made our trip so extremely special. We really enjoyed spending time with him and he worked hard throughout our visit to make sure we got to see everything we wanted and was very attentive. His English skills were excellent so communication was never a problem. I especially appreciated that the driver was very cautious given the long travel distances. The car was very comfortable and throughout all of our travels, I felt very safe at all times. Even before our trip started, I had a problem upon arrival with our luggage not arriving from the airlines. Both Kata and our guide reached out to me the day prior to our first guided day to offer assistance and I felt comfortable knowing that they would be able to assist as needed with this problem if things didn't resolve well. Anyways, after two very successful trips with Kata, I would have no hesitation in using them again for a visit to another country. I highly recommend. Thanks Kata!"
