A terraced sanctuary born from earth and community
Perched amid the legendary rice terraces of Nam Hong village,
Hoang Su Phi Lodge is a breathtaking ecolodge in
Thong Nguyen commune, designed to immerse guests in the serene rhythms of mountain life. Crafted entirely from bamboo, wood, and palm-leaf materials, the lodge comprises 12 private bungalows and a large communal “
nhà sàn” dormitory (stilt houses), all oriented toward sweeping valley views - each featuring two balconies revealing rolling green terraces and distant peaks.
Balanced between minimal comfort and deep immersion, the bungalows showcase natural textures that echo Red Dao heritage, and guests awake to the sound of flowing streams, bird calls, and the sight of daily rice-farming below . Beyond the rooms, an infinity pool blends into the landscape, while the on-site restaurant serves organic meals made with produce from the lodge's own garden and local ingredients.
Community is the heart of the experience: guests can try traditional
Red Dao herbal baths, learn bamboo weaving or embroidery, trek to nearby waterfalls, visit ethnic villages, or join in seasonal festivals within the mountain communities. Guided by a responsibility to cultural stewardship, every moment deepens one’s connection to Ha Giang’s enchanting world.
Perfect for:
Nature lovers,
cultural explorers, and slow-travel seekers searching for raw beauty and heartfelt community contact.
At Hoang Su Phi Lodge, every dawn on the balcony brings a whisper of the mountain’s soul - where eco-harmony becomes pure living.
